View templates

Admin → View templates curates the saved-view presets new projects inherit — the desk shapes like Prompt Book, Lighting Desk, Stage Manager, and Cue Strip that decide how the editor is laid out for a given role.

What you do here

This surface is the curation layer, not an editor. For each template you can rename it, remove it, and toggle whether it's default on new projects. Templates marked default are applied automatically when a project is created, so a new show opens with your house desk shapes ready rather than a blank layout.

Where views are authored

You don't build a view's actual shape here. A view's layout is authored in the editor with the "Save as view" flow, where the result can be previewed against a real script before it's saved. This page only governs which of those saved views are available org-wide and which are on by default — the shape itself stays where it can be seen.
