Layer templates

Admin → Layer templates defines the layer set every new project starts with. Instead of each designer rebuilding the same LX / SX / VX / SM lanes by hand, you set the house default once here and new projects open with the right desk lanes already in place.

Editing the set

Add a template with a key (the short lane code, like LX) and a label ("Lighting"), and remove ones you don't want. The list is your organisation's standing layer kit — keep it to the lanes a typical show in your house actually uses.

The propagation caveat

Changes here propagate to new projects only. Existing projects keep their current layer state untouched — editing a template never reaches back and rewrites a show that's already in progress. If you want a running project to pick up a new lane, add it in that project's editor; the template change is purely the starting point for the next project created.
