Notifications policy

The catalogue of events Cuelist can notify members about, the defaults, and per-channel opt-out counts.

Admin → Notifications policy is a read-only view of the events Cuelist can notify members about. It's grouped by category — account, project, live collaboration, billing — and is the single source of truth for what gets sent and how.

Reading the catalogue

Each event lists its email and in-app defaults, whether a channel is required (some account- and billing-critical events can't be switched off), and how many of your members have opted out of each channel. A surprising opt-out count is a prompt to check in with someone — for instance, if half the team has muted a project event they probably should be seeing.

What admins can't set here

This page does not let an admin change the org-wide defaults or force a channel off for everyone. Per-event, per-channel preferences are personal — each member manages their own in Settings → Notifications. Org-wide overrides (forcing a channel off for the whole organisation, redirecting billing events to a finance distribution) aren't available yet; the catalogue here is authoritative until that lands. The page itself notes this and points to Support if you need it sooner.
