The editor toolbar

The left rail's seven tools, their single-key hotkeys, zoom modes, and the read-only lock.

The Editor tab is where you mark up the script. The tools live on the left rail; everything you draw lands on the active layer. Pick a tool, work the page, switch tools with a single keystroke — no modifier needed.

The seven tools

  • Select (V) — move, resize, and pick up existing marks.
  • Highlight (H) — drag a translucent band over a passage.
  • Cue marker (Q) — drop a cue at a point on the page.
  • Freehand (P) — sketch directly on the page.
  • Text (T) — type a note anchored to the script.
  • Comment (C) — leave a threaded comment for the production.
  • Bookmark (B) — flag a page so you can jump back to it.

Expanding the rail

The rail is icon-only by default. Click the logo at the top to expand it — each button then shows its name and hotkey. The expanded/collapsed choice is remembered on this device.

Zoom

Below the tools, zoom runs in three modes: fit-width, fit-page, or a manual percentage. Cmd/Ctrl-click any zoom control to reset to the default (fit-width, 100%).

The read-only lock

The lock pins the editor to read-only so you can scroll a marked-up script during a call without nudging anything. Toggle it with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+L. It's per-session and doesn't change anyone else's view.

Press ? anywhere for the full shortcut list. Next: Cue marker styling.
